Painting Services in Cincinnati
Interior and exterior painting for homes and businesses, done by a local crew that prepares properly, protects your house, and finishes the job when it said it would. More than ten years working in Cincinnati, most of it for people our customers sent us.
Interior painting
Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinetry. Most of the work in a good interior job happens before any colour goes on: filling, sanding, caulking the gaps where trim has pulled away, and spot-priming stains so they do not ghost through the finish coat six weeks later. That preparation is the difference between a paint job that looks sharp for a year and one that still looks sharp in eight.
We cover floors and furniture properly, contain dust, and clean the work area at the end of every day. You will be living in the house while we are in it, and we work accordingly.
Exterior painting
Siding, trim, soffits, shutters, decks and fences. Cincinnati weather is hard on exteriors — freeze-thaw cycles, humid summers, and winter damp that finds every unsealed joint. We wash the surface first, scrape and sand what is failing, prime bare wood, and caulk before painting rather than painting over the problem.
Timing matters outdoors. We will tell you honestly if it is too late in the season to get a durable result, instead of taking the work and letting the finish fail in spring.
Cabinet painting and refinishing
Kitchen and bathroom cabinets are the highest-value painting work in most homes: a kitchen can look entirely new for a fraction of replacement cost. It is also the least forgiving surface, because cabinets get touched, cleaned and knocked every day. Degreasing, proper sanding and the right product are what stop a cabinet finish peeling at the edges within a year. More detail on our cabinet refinishing page.
Commercial painting
Offices, storefronts, common areas and business exteriors. The main difference from residential work is scheduling: we work evenings and weekends where needed so your business keeps running, and we agree the sequence in advance so nothing closes unexpectedly.
Drywall and repairs
Cracks, nail pops, water stains and holes get repaired before painting, not papered over by it. On the older West Side homes we work in, plaster repair is a regular part of the job and needs a different technique from modern drywall. See drywall and sheetrock repair.
Pressure washing
Siding, drives and decks cleaned properly, and the necessary first step before any exterior paint. Paint applied over dirt, chalking or mildew fails early no matter how good the product is. See pressure washing.
What the job looks like
- We come and look. Free, no obligation, and we measure rather than guess.
- You get a written estimate. Itemised, so you can see what you are paying for and remove anything you do not want.
- We agree a start date and keep it. If anything changes you get a phone call.
- Preparation first. Washing, filling, sanding, caulking and priming before any finish coat.
- We walk it with you at the end. Anything you are not happy with gets put right before we invoice.
Why people keep recommending us
After more than a decade in Cincinnati, most of our work still comes from customers passing our name to a neighbour. That is a harder standard than advertising: a referral only happens if the job was right, the house was left clean and the price was what we said it would be.
We are a family-run local company, not a franchise, and the person who quotes your job is part of the team that does it.
Where we work
Our shop is on Leona Drive, so the West Side is home: Covedale, Cheviot, Bridgetown, Green Township, Colerain Township, Westwood and Delhi Township. We know the housing stock there — older Covedale and Cheviot homes with plaster walls and original woodwork need a different approach from newer Green Township construction, and getting that wrong shows within a year.
We also work throughout greater Cincinnati including Madeira, Indian Hill, Kenwood, Hyde Park, Oakley, Mariemont and Anderson Township, and across the river in Florence, Kentucky. Not sure if you are in our area? Call 513-694-0005 and we will tell you straight.
Common questions
- How much does it cost to paint a house in Cincinnati?
- It depends on size, condition and how much preparation is needed — a house with sound siding and one with failing paint are different jobs. We measure, look at the condition, and give you a written price at no charge rather than quoting a figure over the phone that changes later.
- How long does an interior job take?
- A single room is usually a day or two. A full interior is typically one to two weeks depending on size and how much repair work the walls need.
- What time of year is best for exterior painting?
- Late spring through early autumn in Cincinnati, when temperatures and humidity let the paint cure properly. We will tell you if it is too late in the season rather than take the job and watch the finish fail.
- Do you paint kitchen cabinets?
- Yes, and it is one of our most requested jobs. Done properly it transforms a kitchen for a fraction of replacement cost.
- Do you do commercial work?
- Yes — offices, storefronts and business exteriors, scheduled around your opening hours.
- Are you insured?
- Yes. Ask us when we come out and we will show you the paperwork.
- Is the estimate free?
- Yes, free and with no obligation. We come out, look at the work and leave you a written price.
