Pressure Washing in Cincinnati
Siding, driveways, patios, decks and fences cleaned properly — and the necessary first step before any exterior paint goes on.
Why we wash before we paint
Exterior surfaces in Cincinnati collect more than dirt. Older paint chalks into a fine powder, shaded walls grow mildew, and pollen and road film build up over a season. Paint applied over any of that sticks to the contamination rather than the surface, and peels within a year or two no matter how expensive it was.
That is why washing is included in every exterior painting job we do, not offered as an upsell. It is not optional work.
Pressure is not always the answer
A pressure washer in the wrong hands damages property: it drives water behind siding, etches soft wood, strips mortar from brickwork and forces moisture into window frames. Different surfaces need different pressures, and some need soft washing — low pressure with a cleaning solution that does the work chemically instead of mechanically.
We match the method to the surface. That is the whole skill, and the reason we would rather you hired a company that thinks about it than the cheapest quote with a rented machine.
What we clean
- Siding — vinyl, wood, fiber cement, aluminium and brick
- Driveways, walkways and patios
- Decks and fences, including preparation before staining
- Porches, steps and railings
- Gutter exteriors and the dark streaking down them
- Commercial frontage and walkways
What it will and will not fix
Washing removes dirt, mildew, algae and chalking, and most houses look dramatically better for it. What it will not do is repair failing paint, fix rotten wood, or make badly weathered siding new. If that is what you are looking at, we will tell you when we come out rather than taking payment for a wash that will not satisfy you.
Where we work
Based on Leona Drive in Covedale, working across Cincinnati — the West Side especially, plus Hyde Park, Oakley, Over-the-Rhine, College Hill and the rest of the city. Full list on our service areas page.
Common questions
- How often should a house be pressure washed?
- Most Cincinnati homes benefit every two to three years. Shaded and north-facing walls grow mildew faster and may need it sooner.
- Will it damage my siding?
- Not when pressure and technique match the surface. Some surfaces need soft washing rather than high pressure.
- Do I need washing before painting?
- Yes, and it is included in our exterior painting work rather than charged separately.
- Do you clean driveways and patios?
- Yes — concrete drives, walkways, patios and decks.
